Welcome to day two of CES 2024! We’ll begin with a reflection on day one, when our video team spent the afternoon learning more and more than we’d expect they’d see in the Samsung booth. While we mentioned their Transparent MicroLED screen in the last post, here we’ll be focusing on leaps and bounds forward in smart appliances thanks to AI.
If you’ve never seen Samsung’s Bespoke line of appliances, you’ll see the latest of them here. The Bespoke collection is designed to combine a level of sheer style and smart tech you wouldn’t find in a classic appliance, all for a look and intelligence that helps improve your home.
Samsung AI Family Hub+ 4 Door Refrigerator
Our video team begins with an upgrade on the classic Family Hub, a refrigerator with a screen in it. At CES 2024, Carl and our video team met up with Randy from Samsung to explore their latest model, the Samsung AI Family Hub+ 4-door refrigerator. This tech is a massive upgrade over past models thanks to its AI capabilities and how they fuse with smart technology. Check out our video below.
The highlights? The AI included can tell when produce is added and can help users keep track of it with AI Vision. This refrigerator can recognize over 30 different fresh food items as you add them, and let users know what’s within on-screen—all to prevent food waste. Even update your roster of produce with due dates; then, your appliance will let you know when foods must be eaten by. The software will be updated to help the Samsung refrigerator learn more as time goes on, too. Finally, the fridge can even recommend meals based on what it recognizes as inside the refrigerator. That’s a huge innovation for CES 2024 to combat the daily problem of food waste.
Bespoke Slide-In Induction Stove
Next, Randy from Samsung led our team to the new Bespoke slide-in induction stove. Induction cooking has been making waves in the appliance world for the last few months as a good alternative to classic coil electric or gas-fueled ranges. This model by Samsung takes things a step further with upgraded style and smarts.
Randy mentions that induction cooking is great for any customer, especially those who are used to rapid responses from gas stoves. Energy efficiency makes cooking easier on the budget and the planet as well. This premium Samsung Bespoke model showcases a shining front face with no controls blocking the panel. Instead, users interface with a touch screen on the cooktop called the AI hub. This hub can easily connect to SmartThings for a truly integrated smart home experience. Finally, the anti-scratch cooktop can stand up to pots and pans sliding around, all while looking as beautiful as the day you bought it. This is a perfect complement to other appliances in the Bespoke series, and we were excited to see it at CES 2024.
Bespoke AI Laundry
Our last stop in the CES 2024 Samsung booth was with laundry appliances, where Randy again walked us through the newest appliances to help us care for clothes. Randy mentioned that in 2024, there are going to be many more choices for Bespoke laundry. One of their most impressive products? Samsung’s new all-in-one washer/dryer. This single appliance is called their AI laundry combo, and is designed for energy-efficient and intelligent washing.
This AI laundry appliance comes with all kinds of perks. There’s no need to transfer laundry from one unit to another, and can even accomplish a full load of washing and drying within just two hours. At the top, a laundry hub screen helps users to choose cycles, connect to SmartThings. But where does AI come into things? With sensors that can tell how large a load is, what fabrics are inside, how much water to use and even a soil level sensor, there’s no need to guess at laundry settings. Doing laundry has never been easier. More great benefits? This appliance only needs a 120V plug and requires no venting thanks to a heat pump.
