Solar panels, EV charging stations and our massive recycling center empower us to make the best decisions for our company and our planet. The Abt Recycling Center helps us reduce tons of waste and is a great resource for customers, too. Yes, you can recycle your old televisions and appliances with Abt. Or maybe you’ve just gotten a delivery from us; we take care of that waste, too, whether it’s recycling the boxes your new appliances came in or the old TV we just hauled away for you. Helping eliminate waste is a major priority for our company, and it shows.
We have the numbers to prove it, too. On average, the Abt Recycling Center recycles:
- 3.5 million pounds of cardboard
- 800,000 pounds of Styrofoam
- 1.2 million pounds of TVs
- 21 million pounds of appliances
In addition to our recycling efforts, Abt’s rooftop solar panels help reduce our environmental impact and reduce daily energy costs. Our 5,700 solar panels in total help us produce 2.3 megawatts of electricity.
