What To Watch For When Buying A New Watch

Watches make great gifts. The holidays are a great time to give gifts. When you put those two things together, you come up with something that makes a great holiday gift—a pizza! I mean, a watch! (I slipped up because pizza is what I’m hoping to get. I’m very easy to buy for.)

If you’d like to learn more about watches before you take the plunge and purchase one or two as gifts, or even one for yourself, take a look at our new Watches Buying Guide. You’ll learn things like the difference between a Chronograph and a Chronometer, and the meaning of terms like “Complications” (as if the holidays didn’t have enough of those) and “Skeleton Face” (note: DO NOT use this term to describe a family member after partaking in too many rounds of eggnog chugging).

Our new Time Watch Boutique has a great selection of fine Swiss timepieces from the world’s top watchmakers, including the Michelle line, our latest addition. So stop in or check out our selection online, pick out the perfect gift, then “watch” the lucky recipient’s “face” light up.     —by Graham W.
