While just about everything slows down for us after the holiday season, there is one thing that brightens our January every year: The Consumer Electronics Show. CES, as it’s known, is the world’s foremost exhibition of consumer electronics and appliances—and one of the world’s most popular trade shows, period. Every year, professional attendees from around the globe flock to Las Vegas for the chance to be the first to see the industry’s most anticipated upcoming and concept products.
Some 4,400 companies will be showing their wares at CES, occupying more than 2.7 million square feet of exhibition space. From gaming PCS to smart appliances, if it plugs in or runs on batteries, it will be on display. At CES, no product idea is too futuristic or too outlandish. If that sounds like something you’d like to attend, we’ve got some bad news. CES is open to industry professionals only, so unless you work for a brand, retailer, or media outlet, it will be tough getting a ticket. And even though it’s not open to the public, nearly 200,000 people are expected to attend. The good news is that you can follow along with Abt to see all of the industry’s next hot products as they’re revealed, and experience the general overwhelming chaos that is CES. Keep your eyes on the blog, the Abt YouTube Channel, and the rest of our social media channels for the rest of the week to follow along with the CES action.
