We have the latest announcements from Sony and Nintendo. The Sony State of Play mainly focused on Grand Turismo 7, the latest installment from the iconic franchise. Additionally, Nintendo Direct 2022 covered new installments in popular franchises including Fire Emblem and Kirby. We’re expecting some great launches this year. Unfortunately, Apple AirTags are coming under fire for being used to track people. The Apple AirTags are a great way to keep track of your most important belongings, but concerns have arisen related to them being used for tracking. Apple has finally addressed the safety concerns, saying they will have new privacy warnings and offering improved support documentation. Do you think this is an adequate response?
And finally, Snapchat has introduced an ads feature on their “Snap Stars” stories. Snap Stars are getting the chance to make money from ads. This money-making opportunity is targeting larger creators, leaving smaller creators unable to reap the benefits. Snapchat users and content creators are debating the fairness of the program and whether it helps large accounts get even larger while small accounts fall behind.
