Monday, March 14th, 2011

In the wake of the massive, destructive tsunami in Japan, AT&T is offering wired and wireless billing relief for calls made on AT&T between March 11th and March 31st. Under the plan, AT&T wireless postpaid customers will not be charged for international long distance or text messages to Japan from the US and Puerto Rico.  Residential wireline customers can even receive credits for up to 60 minutes of direct dialing to Japan.

Stop by tomorrow to see which AT&T phones we will have in stock (supplies limited). If you’re looking for a new cell phone provider or looking to upgrade your phone and contract, our knowledgeable sales staff can assist with both.

How Much do you Use your Smartphone?

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

This morning, AT&T announced new data plans for Smartphone users. There are two options, the DataPlus plan and the DataPro plan. Existing customers have the option to stick with their current data plan or switch to the new lower-cost plans.

The new plan options will cost customers less than the “unlimited” plans they are currently a part of, as long as they don’t go over the allowed data use per month. Exceeding the data allowance per month will incur a charge per gigabyte or per 200 megabytes depending on the plan they use.

The DataPlus plan allows 200 megabytes of data, AT&T uses the example that 200 megabytes is enough to send and receive 1,000 emails with no attachments, 150 emails with attachments, view 400 Web pages, post 50 times on a social media site, and watch 20 minutes of streaming video. The DataPlus plan will cost $15 a month. If participants in the DataPlus plan exceed their allotted data usage, AT&T will automatically add an additional 200 megabytes at $15, directly to your bill.

The DataPro plan gives subscribers 2 gigabytes of data usage for $25 per month. AT&T explains 2 gigabytes is equivalent to sending and receiving 10,000 emails without attachments, send and receive 1,500 emails with attachments, view 4,000 Web pages, post 500 photos to social media sites, and watch 200 minutes of streaming video. If a customer exceeds the 2 gigabytes of data usage, an additional gigabyte will be automatically added to you bill for $10.

Are you concerned about overages on the new data plan options? Well, AT&T helps you manage your account by showing current and past usage at
