Sony released information on its newest portable gaming device, the NGP. It’s made a lot of alterations since the original PSP came out in December of 2004. For starters the screen comes with a 5 inch touch-screen and OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks, 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, and cameras on both the front and back.
Games will come on “a small flash memory based card,” according to Sony. Taking advantage of the flash memory feature, this innovative card can store the full software titles plus add-on game content or game save data directly on to the card.
Full details, such as price of the unit and games as well as exact release date are currently unknown. As of know, Sony is planning on releasing this amazing new handheld device around the holidays in 2011.
