Christmas Morning Cranberry Orange French Toast Bake

During the holidays come countless parties and family gatherings, and with them, tons of food. With all the hustle and bustle of prepping for and attending parties, it can be hard to find the free time to make something nice for just you and your family. Well, we're here to solve that with this scrumptious Christmas morning treat that takes seconds to whip up and is bound to be loved! This cranberry-orange French toast bake is simple, quick, and has amazing flavor. This bake is definitely a kid-pleaser, and the final product looks like it came out of a magazine.

Yields15 Servings
 1 french loaf, cut into slices or cubes
 6 eggs
 2 cups milk
 ½ cup orange juice
 ½ cup brown sugar
 ½ tsp vanilla
 1 tsp cinnamon
 ½ tsp orange zest
 1 cup cranberry sauce
 ½ cup fresh cranberries
 powdered sugar for sprinkling

Spray a 9"x13" casserole dish with cooking spray and arrange bread in an even layer in the dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, orange juice, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and orange zest. Pour mixture evenly over the bread.

Cover dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. If you forgot to make it the night before, let it sit for at least ten minutes before baking.

When ready to bake, spoon cranberry sauce over the top and sprinkle whole cranberries on top of the sauce.

Pre-heat oven to 350° F. Bake, covered with foil for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for another 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.

Let cool slightly, dust top with powder sugar and serve. Enjoy!
