Chicago area RC racing fans, we hope your schedules clear this Sunday, August 21st! Abt will be hosting an afternoon full of radio-controlled racing fun, as Cruisin’ For Awareness returns for its third year. Join us as we help support the For Autistic Kids foundation with a day of car-themed fun.
The event, which benefits the For Autistic Kids Foundation, has grown from its beginnings as a simple RC racing event (when it was known as “Race for the Kids”) into a full-fledged celebration of all things automotive. In addition to the multiple-class RC racing, Cruisin’ For Awareness will also include a judged car show for life-sized cars, RC crawler and drifting demos, vendor displays, food, drinks, music, and the chance to win tons of prizes from Abt and various RC brands. If you’re planning on racing, you can come by as early as 10am for some practice laps. If you just want to spectate, the action will be going all day, so stop by at any time. We’ll be set up behind the Abt Design Center, located in the Abt parking lot just south of the store. For a full rundown of RC racing times an class details, head over to the Cruisin’ For Awareness Facebook event page. We hope to see you there!
