Photography Classes are Back at Abt!

For the first time in years, free photography classes are back at Abt and open to the public. These complimentary electronic “How To” classes are a tradition at Abt Electronics and we’re glad to welcome them back for the summer (along with weekend grilling demos). Read on to learn more about all of our summer photography classes!

Digital Camera Basics

This course focuses on transitioning from taking snapshots using a smartphone to making the most of a digital camera. Students will learn all about how to manage photo storage, frame composition, and the correct ways to start off when using a new camera. You’ll find tips and tricks to help you learn the ins and outs of your device, whether it’s completely new or you’ve been meaning to take a deeper dive. Abt’s experts will help you with expertise tailored to fit your needs. Bring your digital camera, accessories and manual.

Intermediate Digital Camera Skills

This photography class aims to help artists move beyond automatic shutter speed, helping you to transform your camera skills. With a little bit of skill development, students will be using techniques like long exposure, adjusting shutter speed, and more. Learn all about what you and your camera can craft together with our once-a-month class. Bring your camera, digital camera, accessories and manual.

GoPro Basics

Hikers, kayakers, skiers and outdoor lovers rejoice: we’ve got a photography class that’ll help you capture all of your adventures. We’ll help you learn all about taking photos and videos, as well as editing once you’re finished. Bring your GoPro and any related gear you may have questions about. 

Date, Time and Location: Last Thursday of the month: 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the Inspiration Studio Conference Room (Excludes November and December)

 

The Inspiration Studio Conference Room can be found on the second floor of Abt’s atrium. Head into the atrium, then up the escalator beside the Gourmet shop.
