In France this week, manufacturer Nikon showed off some interesting prototype cameras. As you can see from the above images, they are definitely not found in any stores. The camera on the left is designed like a traditional DSLR camera, but Nikon combined a handy cam with a DSLR lens, which allows for an LCD screen, camera lens and a grip.
The second design is what Nikon calls the “multi ball”, which is a camera that is spherical in shape, which seems to be used for 360 panoramic photography. Nikon describes it as “multi-views that can capture the atmosphere of a scene.” It will be interesting to see if these particular cameras hit the market some day.
