Join Abt and Sony for a pre-Mother’s Day Event

Mother’s Day is still a couple weeks away, and we know how hard it can be to find a gift for that special lady. Walk around our store, and you’ll get a million different ideas: an elegant watch, a coffee maker, or a pair of chic sunglasses. But if she’s anything like my Mom, ask her what she wants and she’ll say “I want you to not waste your money buying me a gift,” and she’ll probably mean it. If that’s the dilemma you’re facing, stop in the store this Sunday, April 28^th, from Noon to 4pm, and we might still be able to help you out.

In conjunction with Sony, Abt will be hosting a pair of creative digital artists, who will be using their skills to create personalized gifts that any mother will love.

Me Ra Koh, a professional lifestyle photographer, Sony Artisan of Imagery and host of Disney’s “Capture Your Story,” will be stopping by to spend some time with Abt and our customers. While here, she’ll be giving tips for photographing kids, covering technical topics like how to best set up your camera for kid photos, as well as more stylistic ideas like how to dress your child and how to best capture their personality. Me Ra Koh truly loves photographing children, and her workshops are her way of sharing her love, helping others get the best possible photos of their kids. You’ll leave with the skills needed to create perfect portraits of your little ones, which every Mom is sure to love. Me Ra will also be signing copies of her book Your Baby in Pictures, which is currently on multiple Best Seller lists at Amazon.

Also on hand will be Chicago-area digital artist Elle Grey. Elle got her start with oil paints as a child, and has since spent time studying The Masters in Europe. She’ll be here to “paint” your portrait on Sony Vaio Hybrid PC, making a great gift for Mom.
