It’s around this time of year when we begin receiving numerous calls from customers concerned about what appears to be paint peeling on the inside of their grill. While this is a common concern, the problem is almost never as bad as it looks. That “paint” is actually a layer of grease and smoke buildup that has been accumulating since the first time you seared a steak. And while not as harmful to you as chips of paint, these char flakes won’t add much appeal to your BBQ. Thankfully, ten minutes with a good grill brush and some degreaser should clean your grill up just fine.
