Home Appliances Spring Cleaning Checklist

Real signs of spring have finally arrived, and as you open up the windows and air the house out, you might feel compelled to do some serious spring cleaning. That is, if you haven’t already cleaned every nook of the house while sheltering in place. A good spring cleaning should involve most every surface of your home, from the corners of your bathroom to the walls of your kitchen. And if you’re getting serious about sprucing things up, don’t forget to give your home appliances a deep clean.

Since May is also Maytag Month, our friends at the venerable appliance brand created this handy home appliances cleaning checklist, which will help make sure you cover all of the bases. And sure, you might think to yourself: “why do I have to wash my washing machine?” The answer is that even the appliances that do the washing need some washing of their own—it will help stave off mold and mildew buildup and keep things running smoothly overall.

If a few of the tasks give you pause—because how exactly do you wash a washer—we can help with that as well. Head over to our Home Tips & How-To Guides to find a full library of helpful articles. Some helpful spring-cleaning instructionals:
