Happy Retirement, Lenny!

Today we bid farewell and happy retirement to one of our veteran employees, Lenny Szulc. For nearly twenty-four years, Lenny graced our salesfloor and phone lines, helping countless customers find the perfect appliances for their homes.

In his spare time, Lenny is an avid and accomplished fisherman (hence the theme of his going away party). Years ago, Lenny spearheaded the plan to get our 2-acre retention pond stocked with fish. Today, it’s home to thousands of Largemouth Bass, Channel Catfish, and Bluegill, and is staging ground for our annual summer picnic’s fishing derby.

He’s also a dedicated member of the service-oriented, non-profit organization Muskies, Inc., and has previously served as president of his local chapter. Nearly ten years ago, we profiled Lenny when he was inducted into the Muskies Hall of Fame.

We’ll miss Lenny, but have no doubt we’ll see him at the family picnic every summer, perhaps enjoying many quiet mornings on the water, or visiting his son Tim, an Abt car audio installer and veteran employee in his own right. We’re so grateful for his loyalty and dedication to Abt over the last two decades. Enjoy your retirement, Lenny!
