General Electric Recall

General Electric Company (GE) has released an announcement of a recall of 174,000 GE Profile and GE Monogram Dishwashers, manufactured between July 2003 to December 2006.

Water condensation has been discovered to leak onto the electronic control board which can end up causing a short circuit and resulting in an overheated connector. GE will provide a free repair to consumers who have a unit affected by the recall. Consumers who wish to replace the unit will be offered a $200 rebate for any new GE Profile unit or $400 for any new GE Monogram.
