Employee Spotlight! Dawn Beyak

As 2022 comes to a close and we look toward the new year, Abt is excited to recognize Dawn Beyak in our latest Employee Spotlight. Dawn is a veteran of the appliance industry with 21 years here at Abt and a career with experience at GE, too. When she first began at Abt, Dawn started out in the appliance service department. Here, our specialists work to fix any malfunctions found in the appliances we sell. Now, Dawn works in our solutions department helping to solve issues on our customers’ behalf. When things get tough, Dawn is the person to go to. When asked what she loves most about her job, Dawn replied “I love being able to help our customers and turn an unhappy situation into one where the customer is happy and pleased with the outcome. I love working in the appliance shop with my partners and all the technicians. We are like a family.”

Like a family indeed. With over 21 years here, Dawn is definitely a steadfast member of the Abt employee family. She remembers what she learned from Bob Abt during her tenure here too, and puts his advice to work every day. “Mr. Abt always said to ‘Do the right thing and don’t pass the buck.’ He was an amazing person and businessman, and we all learned good customer service and ethics from him.” 

When asked what she loves most about her workplace, our December Employee Spotlight responded with grace. “I am grateful to have my job here at Abt and it allowed me the flexibility in my schedule that helped me when my children were younger. I am so thankful for Abt.” And Abt is so grateful for Dawn! 

When she’s not here with her work family and helping customers to find solutions to difficult problems, Dawn loves spending time with her real family at home. She also loves to shop and travel. We love that jet-set lifestyle, and can’t wait to see more of our spotlight employees like Dawn in the New Year.
