CES 2023 has officially begun! Yesterday was media day, a chance for attending brands to give keynotes announcing the latest and greatest innovations. Some of the most exciting news came from LG as CEO William (Joo Wan) Cho announced the 10th anniversary of LG OLED among other exciting brand news.
One of our favorite announcements is the reveal of MoodUp technology. The first LG product to have this technology is refrigerators, which will feature color-changing panels that you can control from your smartphone. The LG MoodUp refrigerator features LED backlit panels that allow you to change the colors to fit your mood or fit a festive atmosphere. With over 190,000 color combinations, you can customize your appliance to any mood. The coolest feature, though, is the Bluetooth speaker inside so you can stream music whether you’re cooking or entertaining. Oh, and that means you can sync the backlit panels to blink in time with the music. This fridge is expected to launch late March or early April.
Additionally, Cho announced the Life’s Good Award program, given to innovators striving to make life better “for people and the planet.” The finalists: Solutum, Dot Inc., Day1Lab and NONA Technologies, whose goals include sustainability and accessibility. Next, the brand discussed their plan to achieve carbon neutrality and transition to renewable energy. Their goal? A better life for all.

Yet another incredible LG announcement at CES 2023? The world’s first wireless OLED TV. It will be the first consumer TV to offer 4K 120Hz AV wireless transmission. How is this possible? LG’s new Zero Connect Box that houses all of the TV’s circuitry. We can’t wait to see what these screens look like in person—maybe you’ll even be able to purchase one at Abt!
But that’s not all. LG also announced their CES 2023 Innovations Award-winning device, the LG OLED T. What is OLED T? A TV with a transparent screen.
