CES 2015: Emiota Belty Smart Belt

Within the last few years, we have seen an increase in wearable technology. We’ve seen watches that can connect to your cell phone, and we’ve seen wristbands that monitor your fitness. Today, we have the unveiling of an all new wearable technology: Belty. Belty is a smart belt which uses tiny motors in the buckle that self-adjust to your waist based on your positioning. For example, if you were to sit, Belty would loosen itself to better fit your waist, then it would automatically tighten when you were to stand – giving you complete comfort without needing to readjust.

Aside from its auto-adjust feature, Belty’s mobile app also provides you with features such as step tracking, inactivity alerts to get you moving when you are idle for too long and it also tracks your waist measurements over time to keep you on track with your fitness goals. The Belty is said to be undergoing some modifications, but is to be released sometime in the end of 2015. Would you invest in this high-tech accessory?
