This year Apple’s CEO Tim Cook took the stage at the Steve Jobs Theater in beautiful San Jose, California to unveil Apples latest tech innovations.
The Apple Watch Series 4
The Apple Watch is not only the number one selling smartwatch but also the number one selling watch of any kind in the world. The next version of the Apple Watch has some big shoes to fill, so Apple went back to the drawing board and came back with the new Apple Watch Series 4. Right off the bat, the Series 4 Apple Watch has a 30% larger screen than previous versions. Even more impressive is that this watch has less volume than the old watch, meaning it has a larger screen in a slimmer package. The thinner Series 4 features the new S4 chip, a 64-bit dual core that has 2X faster performance. Additionally impressive is the enhanced cell signal strength and a 50% louder speaker means even clearer phone calls. Now you can personalize your watch with more straps, and dynamic new watch faces that uniquely interact with the watch face, for example, you can add contacts to your home screen for quick contact access. Apple wants people to be healthier so they focused on creating better health apps. They even went as far as integrating the first ever EKG in a smartwatch. By measuring the electrical impulses of your heart, this FDA backed technology will report on how healthy your heart is. It is true what they say, great things come in small packages.
iPhone Xs & Xs Max
Apple upgrades the existing iPhone X with two new versions. The iPhone Xs & iPhone Xs MAX, with corresponding sizes at 5.8ā & 6.5ā. The phones are made with stainless steel cases available in three beautiful colors: gold, silver, and space gray. The super retina OLED display covers the entire front of the screen with edge to edge display. Additional upgrades included the most durable glass of any smartphone as well as an Ip68 waterproof rating. Meaning the new iPhone Xsās will be more waterproof and dust resistant than ever before. On the inside, the new A12 bionic chip is capable of processing 5 trillion operations per second. Which means the iPhone Xs will launch apps 30% faster. Unlock your phone faster with Face ID Technology. And allow for unprecedented gaming and augmented reality (AR).
There are two 12-megapixel cameras on the rear. One 7-megapixel camera and IR camera on the front, making this phone a mini photo studio. The iPhone Xs can film in 4k, and retouch up photos in more ways possible than any other phone. The battery has been enhanced, with the sMax having the biggest battery of any other iPhone offering an additional hour and a half of usage.
iPhone Xr
Apple introduced a more affordable version of the iPhone X with the new iPhone Xr. Built with aerospace grade aluminum available in White, Black, Blue, Coral, Yellow, and Red. This 6.1ā edge to edge, top to bottom screen offers the most advanced LCD screen in any smartphone, dubbing the name “liquid retina”. Integrating the same A12 Bionic chip off the iPhone Xs, this more affordable version is just as powerful as the Xs. It also took the same 12-megapixel camera off the Xs, though there is only one compared to the Xs’s two. Additionally, this iPhone Xr has an IP67 water and dust rating and an hour and a half more battery per day than the iPhone 8. Starting at $749 these colorful iPhones pack quite a punch.
