The air fryer has quickly become a staple in kitchens everywhere thanks to its ability to make our favorite comfort foods fast and with less greasy mess. Whether you need a quick snack or want to make a healthier alternative to a deep-fried favorite, this tiny appliance is surprisingly versatile. Abt’s video team discovered some pretty great things you can make in an air fryer and shared them over on our TikTok page:
First up is apple crisps. This recipe is perfect for when you’re craving something sweet or crunchy but don’t want to reach for that king-sized candy bar. Simply slice your apples and sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, or another similar spice. Set your slices in the basket and start the air fryer for a quick healthy snack.
Peanut Butter & Jelly
We all love grilled cheese, but what if you could get that crispy but gooey texture with another classic sandwich? Yep, we put a PB&J in the air fryer. Just spread your peanut butter and jelly of choice on your bread as you’d normally would, then butter the bread to get it extra crispy. The result? The best PB&J you’ve ever had in just a few minutes.
Air Fried Oreos
Finally, we have the classic carnival creation: fried Oreos. We love this recipe because your guests will think it took a ton of time and effort to make but it’s actually super simple. Skip the messy deep frying and roll up the cookies in pre-made dough. Pop them in the air fryer and top with powdered sugar before serving—these are sure to be a hit at your next party.
