Abt-solutely Delicious: Thanksgiving in a Blanket

The only food tradition surer than turkey on Thanksgiving is having Thanksgiving leftovers for lunch or dinner the following day—or longer. Instead of revisiting T-Day dinner between two slices of cold bread or in a soggy microwaved mess on a plate, try this simple Thanksgiving in a Blanket. In fact, it’s so easy it’s not really even a “recipe,” and the only additional ingredient you’ll need is a tube of your favorite crescent roll dough.

Let’s get started. First, preheat your oven to 375°, and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate the triangles of crescent roll dough, and lay them out on a lightly-floured work surface. Then, stack all of your Thanksgiving leftovers on the base of the dough triangle. We used the typical leftover assortment: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce.

Roll each piece of dough up, and give it a little smoosh to make sure the dough sticks to itself and keeps your leftovers contained. Then place your rolls on your baking sheet, spaced evenly apart.

Bake the rolls for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden-brown. While they cook, heat up some leftover gravy to use as a dipping sauce. Serve warm, and enjoy!
