In the consumer electronics industry, the holiday shopping season is just the first half of the fun of winter. Every January, thousands upon thousands of people (177,393 in 2016, to be exact) descend upon Las Vegas to attend CES, the Consumer Electronics Show. CES is the world’s largest technology trade show, bringing together manufacturers, retailers, journalists, and anyone with a foot in the tech industry for a week of new product reveals, technology exhibitions and all kinds of other high-tech fun. And we’ll be in the thick of the action, covering all of the most exciting CES 2017 happenings here on the Abt Blog and on the Abt YouTube Channel.
Going to CES 2017 gives us a chance to get first-hand looks at what will be the coming year’s most anticipated products. This lets our buyers make informed decisions to make sure we’re carrying the products you want, and it gives our video team the ability to produce exclusive content to help you decide if these are the products you want. It’s a busy four days, with the crew on their feet for a good 12-16 hours each day. And it’s a lot of work, but just as much fun. You can expect to start seeing the videos posted beginning January 3rd or 4th, with lots of coverage right here on The Bolt as well. In the meantime, you can also check out the Abt CES 2016 video playlist to get an idea of what the show is like. And please feel free to leave us a comment here, on YouTube, or the Abt Facebook page with any of the things you’d like us to try to see at CES 2017.
