Have you watched any of this season’s football games on an HDTV? If you’ve found yourself diving at the screen to recover a fumble, getting in the ref’s face to argue a call, or reaching out to block a field goal, then you probably have an HDTV and are still getting used to how lifelike the action is.
Football always seems to cause an upsurge in TV sales, and this year is no different—except that more and more people are moving up to high-definition models. Click here to see all the great HDTVs available at Abt.

October 23, 2007 at 8:57 pmI love watching sports on my new HDTV. Right now is especially good with football and the baseball playoffs. I recently bought a Samsung 50″ plasma for my bedroom (HPT5064) which I liked better than the 46″ LCD I was considering.

October 23, 2007 at 9:46 pmHDTV isn’t just for sports. Most of the network shows look great as well. Even Oprah looks better on my HDTV.

October 23, 2007 at 9:56 pmWhich set is best for watching sports in HD? There are so many variables here it would be hard to answer. Typically, if you are going small (40″ or less) LCD is the best choice. If you are going between 42″ and 60″, I like plasma. Anything bigger, I would do DLP or LCD projection.

October 24, 2007 at 10:54 pmHow about LCD projection? I got a Sony 60″ SXRD a year ago and love it. I think the picture is much more natural than DLP.
