10,000 Cupcakes with KitchenAid

KitchenAid’s Cook for the Cure is one of our favorite campaigns every year, because it gives us and our friends the chance to do something meaningful in a fun way. By cooking cupcakes and sharing a photo of them on social media, each of us can raise awareness and money from the comfort of our home by doing something we enjoy. KitchenAid will donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for every cupcake photo shared, with a goal of 10,000 cupcakes. But we know that baking isn’t for everyone, so last weekend we did the legwork, providing the cupcakes—and even the pretty pink backdrop—so those of us who are more comfortable enjoying cupcakes than cooking them could still contribute to the cause. Here’s a little look at the festivities.

If you haven’t yet taken part in the push for 10,000 Cupcakes, you can do so all of October. Check out our Pink Strawberry Frosting recipe for a tasty, easy-to-make topping for those cupcakes—it’s a great way to up the deliciousness of even store-bought cupcakes. And don’t forget to enter to win a KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, our special October giveaway.
