Just as suspected, the blizzard hit us late Tuesday and into Wednesday. Roads were swarmed with that blustery, frozen white powder. Engulfed enough to have them blocked, avoiding any further treachery for anyone brave enough to drive their car. On Wednesday we closed for the first time, in a long time, on a day that wasn’t a holiday. Sorry, I couldn’t help but think of one of my favorite scenes from the movie “Ghostbusters” after hearing the local news and their concern with the impending blizzard. Everyone in the Mid-West is in the middle of what the media here is calling a “Snowpocalypse”. As the inches pile up, preparations were made in the form of gas, water and food. Even though we here in Chicago are familiar with everything but a light dusting, it doesn’t hurt to be prepared. Nothing says “preparation” more than a generator.
