It’s Time To Start Cooking With Frigidaire’s Induction Technology

Monday, December 26th, 2016

Induction cooking is the safest and most efficient way to cook your favorite meals. Induction cooktops use electricity and electromagnetic technology to heat only the pan, which leaves the burner plate much cooler than a standard electric radiant burner. Basically, the pan becomes the burner, which eliminates heat transfer through the glass cooktop surface. In order for this to occur, induction cooking requires magnetic cookware. So if a magnet can stick to your pan you can use it with a Frigidaire induction cooktop! People everywhere are switching over to Frigidaire’s induction technology. Check out the video below to find out why, and read on to learn more about all of the amazing benefits!

Benefits To Switching Over

Cook Meals Faster

Simple & Easy Clean-Up

Enjoy reduction in clean up time because induction technology heats up the pan, not the cooktop so food spills can’t burn on. You can even cook bacon with a piece of newspaper between the pan and the cooktop, to catch any splatters!

Reduce Your Energy Bill

Frigidaire and Electrolux Recall

Monday, November 1st, 2010

Frigidaire and Electrolux have released news of a product recall that includes Frigidaire and Electrolux ICON smoothtop electric cooktops purchased between Janurary 2005 through August 2010.  As the recall report states, liquid has been known to pool under the knobs on the front of the unit, which can lead to being a fire hazard.

Above is an example of the location of where liquids can pool.

If you believe you have a unit that falls under the recall, please visit Frigidaire’s recall page and fill in the required information. The model and serial numbers for the slide-in ranges can be found inside the oven door on the left side of the unit or on the underside surface on cooktop models.

If you own one of these recalled items, stop using it and unplug the recalled ranges or power off cooktops at the circuit breaker. For full information you can contact Electrolux at (888) 281-5310 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m ET Monday through Saturday or visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website direct.
