CEDIA 2011: the Wrap-Up

CEDIA 2011 has come to a close, but not before showing off some more interesting electronics expected to come out late 2011/early 2012.  Some more items from top manufacturers are sure to be a hit around the holiday season.

Pioneer showed off their music tap system, model XMSC4K, which is a shelf iPod dock system with wireless streaming. This will let consumers enjoy high resolution music wirelessly from any DLNA Certified® 1.5 compliant device, including Android® phones and tablets, Windows 7 computers, and more.

CEDIA 2011: Epson’s Smaller, Powerful HD Projectors

Epson showed off their new line of 3D, HD projectors this year at CEDIA 2011,  Epson’s new PowerLite Pro Cinema 6010 or its refreshed Home Cinema models. Not only do they display 1080P images, some models also support 2D to 3D video conversion.

The Pro Cinema 6010 and Home Cinema 5010 have a contrast ratio of up to 200,000:1 and deliver up to 2400 lumens of color.  The higher-end package including accessories like ceiling mounts, cable cover and two pairs of 3D glasses.

CEDIA 2011: Sonance Landscape Speakers

For those who can’t be anywhere without their great tunes, Sonance has developed a line of speakers that look like lighting you would find in your landscaping.

The speaker line has several models to choose from with the LS67SAT and LS47SAT speakers that share some of the same features. Both have 0.75″ tweeters and power handling up to 25 watts. The difference comes in the woofer size, the LS67 has a 6-inch woofer and the LS47 has a 3.5-inch woofer. Both speakers will work with a variety of mount options for in ground and tree mounting.
