Inside the Abt Mobile Audio Installation Department

What many local customers may not know is that we also have an award-winning mobile audio installation department on-site, who are some of the best in the biz at making your vehicle just as awesome as your home. With the weather finally beginning to improve, there’s no better time to bring your car in for an A/V upgrade. Today we’re taking a look at what goes on inside the Abt Mobile Audio Installation shop.

What started seventeen years ago as a way to offer a few additional services to customers has grown into one of Chicago’s premiere locations for custom installation of aftermarket car accessories. With a staff of over twenty and a sprawling shop outfitted to perform any task imaginable, there are few things we can’t do. In fact, the easiest way to describe the breadth of our services is simply: if it has wires, we can probably install it in your car. From typical components like upgraded speakers or a new car stereo installation, to the more exotic projects like in-dash iPad integration or full-sized LED TVs; if you can dream it, we can install it.

All services are completed by a staff of thirteen full-time technicians, including one dedicated window-tinting pro. Each installer had years of experience before joining the team at Abt, and all are Advanced Certified Installation Technicians, as defined by the Consumer Technology Association. Our techs have been recognized as being among the best in the nation by Mobile Electronics Magazine, who hosts an annual Industry Awards. In 2013, Abt was voted one of ME Mag’s Top 12 Retailers in the nation. Our customers trust us to work on just about any vehicle you can imagine.
