Abt is always happy to take part in supporting our local community and other greater causes. One cause that’s very near to us is that of raising awareness for autism. Affecting 1 in 68 children, autism is a lifelong disorder that causes varying levels of cognitive, communication and social development issues. The cause is unknown and there is no cure. The Abt family founded the For Autistic Kids Foundation to raise funds to broaden public awareness and understanding, and to assist in the research of early detection, prevention, treatment and a cure for the disorder. This month, we’re proud to take part in the “Light It Up Blue” campaign, in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day and National Autism Awareness Month.
