   I’d be interested to find out how data can be stored in a volatile medium

   One word – magic! But for real, it will be interesting to see if they move forward with this technology. What kind of “half-life” will this format have? Can a gaseous medium sit on my shelf like a DVD or thumb drive? I’m also wondering how it interfaces with components like consoles and computers.
