Abt at KBIS 2012

The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show 2012 (KBIS) is being held at McCormick Place on Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, and Abt has a front row seat for all the action. The tradeshow showcases the leading manufacturers of everything kitchen and bath.  With other two million square feet, the largest convention center in the United States, is packed full of the latest products, materials, technology, and lifestyle innovation.

KBIS 2012 highlights include a keynote speech from Candice Olson, star of HGTV’s Divine Design and Candice Tells All, about her kitchen and bath design experiences and about the importance of creating a personal brand.  The centerpiece for the show is the “Uncontained exhibit”.  Lifestyle stories of five unique consumers take visitors on a journey through the generational perspectives and attributes that have changed design. “All the rules are broke. Meet your next clients.”

“Touch the Future”, a sentiment that we at Abt take to heart. Since 1936 we have focused on providing our customers with the latest products that not only enhance their electronic and appliance experience, but hopefully have some effect on the future and our environment. We applaud manufacturers like Wolf for their design focused on innovation, sustainability, and digital integration like we saw in their Smart Kitchen display (below).

We were blown away by some of the products and ideas that are being presented at KBIS and hope to bring this progressive design to our customers in the future. Go see for yourself, check out KBIS or The Best of KBIS to see what we see and as always let us know what you think.
